- Question: How long do courses last?
- Answer: Most courses run seven weeks, including an initial orientation week.
- Question: What are the course expectations?
- Answer: Each week participants will have a discussion prompt and activities to complete. Weekly activities may be completed any time during the week; there are no specific times that participants are required to be online or log into a course.
- Question: How much do courses cost?
- Answer: Courses cost $99/participant, unless using a discount. Discounts apply at registration. Graduate credit fees are an additional cost and must be paid directly to the institution of higher education.
- Question: How can I pay for eLearning courses?
- Answer: eLearning accepts credit card and purchase order (PO) for payment through our online registration system. If you cannot pay by credit card, you can submit your PO at checkout by selecting "Pay by PO" and uploading it there. If you don't have a PO prepared, complete your purchase by selecting "Pay by PO" and then choosing "No" in response to the request for documentation; then call the eLearning office at (573) 884-7202 to arrange for payment by purchase order.
- Question: Can I earn graduate credit for eMINTS eLearning courses?
- Answer: Yes. Earning graduate credit requires that teachers meet the requirements outlined in the syllabus approved by participating institutions. Requirements include participating in a positive way in online discussion forums and completing assignments in a timely manner as specified by the syllabus. Courses can be taken for graduate credit through CMU for $75/credit hour (pass/fail) or $250/credit hour (graded) and through Lindenwood University for $75/credit hour. This is in addition to the $99 course fee. All courses are 2 credit hours.

- Question: How can I drop a course?
- Answer: Participants may drop until day 7 of the course. If payment has already been received, you will be refunded the entire enrollment fee. After day 7, participants who drop the course are not eligible for a refund and will be considered “incomplete” rather than dropped.
If you wish to drop, you must email [email protected] with a written request prior to day 7 of the course.
Please be sure you want to complete the graduate credit course, including all assignments listed on the syllabus, before sending in an enrollment form to your chosen university. If you find that you must drop the course, you must let the contact person at the institution in which you are enrolled know immediately. Letting your course instructor or an eMINTS eLearning staff member know that you wish to drop is NOT sufficient to complete the drop process.
Note: eLearning for Educators cannot drop participants from graduate credit enrollment. Participants must work directly with their graduate credit institution. Find more information.
- Question: How can I purchase courses for a group?
- Answer: At checkout, select the box "Purchase for Others," then enter the number of each course you want to purchase. Once the purchase is complete, the names and email addresses of each participant can be entered under the Manage Users section of the My Learning tab on the registration site.
- Question: I already have an account with eMINTS eLearning. Why isn't it letting me log in?
- Answer: Even if you already have an account to access your past courses, you still need to set up an account in order to register. Use the same email address as your other account in order to connect newly purchased courses with past courses you've taken with eMINTS eLearning.
- Question: How do I access my course?
- Answer: If you already have a login and password set up with the eMINTS eLearning course site, you can login directly. Otherwise, log in to the course registration site (this site), then navigate to My Courses under the My Learning tab. You can click the Launch button next to your course, which will take you directly to your course. Please note that you will not have access to your course until the course start date.
- Question: Why can't I see my course?
- Answer: After purchasing a course, you can log into the eMINTS eLearning course site, but you will not have access to your newly purchased course until the start date. This message will appear when you login until the course begins:
